Get your own domain name (i.e. www.mysite.com) through a domain name registrar such as Aquesthosting.com. You can even choose the cheapest hosting package since our software requires no special scripting, no database, no extra web space, and works with any web hosting company that supports Windows based hosting with ASP.Net 2.0. If you already own a domain name, you are ready to go!

Place the Tandem Server files that you can download from our Download page on your domain.

Type your domain, followed by /install (i.e. www.mysite.com/install) in your internet explorer address bar to install. Follow the instructions on the page to begin creating your own website. No coding experience needed!

good idea, i will put that on the table for review. note, it is considered bad seo to have the same description and keywords for multiple pages - it will get flagged as duplicate content and decrease your seo. however, it would be nice to have a starting point that you can modify per page.

Have default fields for keywords and descriptions in the configuration so they don't have to be entered on every page if they won't change from page to page. Keyword field needs to be much longer.

i'm sorry i do not have any metrics on this matter but tandem server will be able to handle a few thousand pages/articles realistically. it will depend on your server but in general you should not have a problem.

Thanks, I also found the answer to the question in another thread concerning multiple sites upload. At the risk of asking another answered question, how many single page articles can the system realistically handle? Not all of them need to be in a menu, but could be found by a site search. More than 2000?

yes (sort of), to backup the content it is just the single xml file however there are other xml files that are used for other purposes such as users are stored in the /files/_users folder and mailing lists in the /files/_mailinglist/ folder etc... so if you want a full backup then you need to copy the entire /files folder off the root of your website...
